Pregnancy Bioflex and Surgical Steel Single Jewelled Belly Bars (formerly PTFE)
Surgical Steel top and bottom balls, with the bottom ball jewelled as shown. The Bioflex shaft is 50mm in length, soft, flexible and forgiving making it more comfortable and useful particularly during pregnancy, maternity. The balls and Bioflex shaft are supplied separately to allow you to cut-to-size. They can be easily shortened using scissors or a sharp knife. The steel balls can then be threaded back on. Available in lots of gem colours. NB: BALLS SUPPLIED DETACHED.
There are 2 international standards for autoclaving Bioflex:
1. Temperature 121 Degrees Celsius at pressure 15 pounds per square inch for 15 minutes.
2. Temperature 134 Degrees Celsius at pressure 32 pounds per square inch for 3 minutes.
Exceeding this can result in deformation.
NB: You cannot sterilise Bioflex in a dry heat autoclave. You need a steam sterilisation process with water.
